Recliners are heavy enough to require two people to move them unless they come apart into two pieces – the back and the bottom. Many recliners come apart easily. To find out if yours does so just try lifting its back to see if it slides out. If it does, one person can pad and move it in two pieces. Pad each piece just you’d pad an ottoman.
If it doesn’t come apart, then pad it up fully as shown in the 12 picture sequence below.
If it’s an extremely big recliner you’ll probably need to press it down in the back to extend it before you pad it. Then, you should carry it sideways when moving it through doorways and tight spots.
