Upright electronic pianos are not very heavy in comparison to upright acoustic pianos because they’re not constructed with a heavy cast iron harp as is the acoustic piano. But the finish needs to be well protected so fully wrap it in pads, taping them tight before carrying it.
Some electronic uprights such as a Rhodes piano have fold-up legs. For those pianos, fold the legs up first, then pad and move it.
Grand electronic pianos may need a piano board to move them without damage to the finish. See our grand piano section for details.
